I want to wall mount a 77inch TV (33kg) to be mounted on a plasterboard wall. Given the weight it is only possible to wall mount it by somehow locating the studs of the plaster board wall and drilling into the studs. Does anyone have experience with this?

Mounting a 55-inch TV on a solid brick wall using a Sanus VLT7-B2 wall bracket. Most of the wall is solid brick, with a small section of plasterboard below where the old fireplace was covered. There’s an existing power socket on the wall that will sit behind the TV once it’s mounted, allowing all cables to be neatly hidden. The mount supports tilt and extension, so it should be fitted to allow a full range of motion and proper cable clearance while keeping the TV level and centred. Please bring suitable masonry drill bits, fixings for brick, and any necessary tools.
