Task: Ground Preparation and Creation of Raised Planting Beds (7m x 7m Area) The work involves preparing an approximately 7m x 7m area for planting by carrying out thorough weeding and creating raised planting beds using topsoil already available on site. The contractor is required to: 1. Weed the entire 7m x 7m area, removing all unwanted vegetation, weeds, roots, and any other growth that may interfere with future planting. 2. Clear the area of any stones, debris, rubbish, or other materials that are not suitable for a planting environment. 3. Use the topsoil already provided on site (supplied in bags) to form a series of raised planting beds across the area. No additional topsoil supply is required unless otherwise agreed. 4. Create the raised beds using soil only. The beds should not include timber edging, sleepers, bricks, blocks, metal edging, or any other structural materials. The intention is to create simple, soil-formed raised beds suitable for growing vegetables, flowers, herbs, or other plants. 5. Shape and level the beds so they are neat, practical, and suitable for planting. Paths or access spaces between the raised beds should be clearly defined and reasonably level to allow access for maintenance and harvesting. 6. Distribute the available topsoil evenly and efficiently to maximise the usable planting area while maintaining good drainage and an attractive appearance. 7. Leave the site clean, tidy, and ready for immediate planting upon completion of the works. The total working area is approximately 49 square metres (7m x 7m). Topsoil is already available on site in bags and only needs to be moved, spread, shaped, and formed into raised planting beds as part of the works. This is not gardening per se, it's terrace plants maintenance, some weeding and general cleanup of leaves and spider webs (nothing major - see the pictures) and some replacements with new plants (3-4).
