I need rewiring of our underfloor heating system and installation of smart meters to operate it (with hive). We have 5 zones. It’s a JohnGuest system currently.

Room Details: Kitchen size: 5.16m (L) × 3.15m (W) Current floor: tiled Issue: mixed subfloor (concrete + timber) ❗ Current Problem: Half of the kitchen floor sits on concrete Other half sits on timber subfloor Timber section is now damaged/uneven Ant infestation has occurred from edges (likely via gaps under timber section) Some tiles are already lifting/damaged 🔨 Scope of Work Required: 1. Strip Out Remove all existing floor tiles Remove timber subfloor section completely 2. Subfloor Correction Replace removed timber area with solid concrete base Ensure entire floor is level across full 5.16m × 3.15m Apply suitable damp-proof membrane (if required) Ensure no gaps/entry points (fully sealed against pests) 3. Floor Preparation Apply self-levelling compound across entire floor (if needed) Prepare surface suitable for large-format tiles 4. Electric Underfloor Heating Supply and install electric underfloor heating system Include: Heating mat/cable Insulation boards (if required) Thermostat (preferably smart programmable) Must be compatible with tile finish 5. Tiling Install large format tiles (likely 1000x1000mm or 1200x1200mm) Full kitchen area to be tiled (under cabinets where possible or up to plinth – confirm approach) Ensure: Correct adhesive for large format tiles Minimal lippage (flat finish) Clean grout lines Include tile layout planning (centred preferred) 6. Finishing Grouting Silicone sealing around edges and units Ensure fully sealed floor (no pest entry points)

I need a cable installed for my underfloor heating mat in my shower room. Picture 1: shows the plug socket in the adjacent room, which I’m hoping you can run the cable from. Picture 2: shows the direction of the joists under the floor to help plan the route. Picture 3: shows the height where I need the cable brought up to feed through the wall so the thermostat can be installed on the other side. There is lots of room under the floor to pull the cable through

1) Carefully remove all floorboards downstairs and set aside. 2) install timber battens between joists 3) install rigid insulation minimum 50mm thick between floor joist, above battens. 4) underfloor heating pipework installed between joists (materials supplied by us). Joists to be notched where required to allow pipework to pass through 5) dry sand a cement mix screed to the placed between joists above underfloor heating pipework and levelled flat. 6) fix down floorboards over the top of all, fixing floorboards into the joists.

Hi looking for a labour quote to fit retrofit underfloor water based heating on the floorplan attached excluding WC and utility room. The existing flooring is laminate/carpet on suspended wood/concrete. Scope of work will require existing floor removal and prep, installation of ufh and also laying laminate on top. Thanks Peri

Take up existing floorboards, batten out between joists and apply insulation, install UFH between insulation and dry screed layer and fix back down floorboards

Wunda water underfloor heating

I have heatmiser underfloor heating one zone receiver come on but no heat provided

Underfloor heating in one room is not working. Floors stayed cold, control panels are all working fine. Boiler is only a year old and just had its annual service done, pressure is good and have nothing wrong.

Underfloor heating has been laid out on the ground floor of the house from corridor to through lounge. I need the downstairs area to be screeded before the flooring can go on. Open to offers/ suggestions.

Thermostat shows as heating active but not heating from mat

Our OTN2/OTD2 thermostat is not turning on, the problem is likely a power interruption due to depleted batteries, a tripped circuit breaker, or a wiring fault. 2 other thermostats are working perfectly fine just one isn’t and is affecting the underfloor heating

we are about to get keys for a flat in north london that need renovation and we also need to check the heating system, we were thinking about to change the current system (gas) to underfloor. the floor now is already on concrete. the flat size is 68sqm and its for the whole flat unit installation

I have purchased a Fastwarm electric underwood heating kit (8 sq m) (https://www.fastwarm.com/fastwarm-electric-underwood-heating-mat-kit-10417-p.asp?v=0&variantid=14729) and insulation underlay (https://www.fastwarm.com/fastwarm-6mm-eps-insulation-pack-covers-10m2-20-boards-11151-p.asp) The heating mat needs to be hardwired to a fuse spur with a wall mounted digital thermostat. I am looking for an electrician with experience of installing this product. This is for the kids’ playroom in my house. I then plan on getting a separate person to fit laminate wooden flooring on top. There is currently a carpeted floor but i will remove the carpet in advance. There is a concrete subfloor, where the underlay will sit on top.

I can’t seem to get the underfloor heating to switch on this year (every year it’s the same) - I had a full electrical replacement last year so I’m hoping it’s not something overly complicated to fix. Looking for an engineer to come and resolve asap

We have a wiki underfloor heater and it has a red light when the heating is on. It is supposed to be because of air trapped in the system, but I can’t locate the bolt to release it. Can someone help?

Heatmiser thermostat is completely dead with a blank screen. Fuse seems to be okay as there the boiler is functioning for the hot water. Seems the thermostat itself needs replacing, it is wired not battery powered and our heating type is underfloor heating

My underfloor never kicks in at the start of winter. Can someone please assess, it’s getting cold in here… I have x6 thermostats in the flat. They all register the correct time/date/function. If I set the temperature for the heating to turn on, the flame icon appears (so it works) but the heating doesn’t turn on.
