The PC was built last June and has run perfectly until now. Suddenly, it is failing to boot and the motherboard's digital display is permanently stuck on error code 00. To isolate the fault, my brother and I have already performed the following troubleshooting steps: Cleared the CMOS multiple times using the rear I/O button, ensuring all residual power was drained from the system first. Performed a barebones boot with only the CPU, CPU cooler, one stick of RAM in the primary slot (slot 2), and the essential power cables connected. Swapped the RAM stick to definitively rule out a memory channel failure. Removed the CPU cooler and meticulously inspected the motherboard socket and the gold contact pads on the CPU. There are no bent pins, no scorch marks, and no visible damage. We then carefully reseated the processor. Despite all these steps, the 00 code persists immediately upon powering the system
