Assessment of furniture and other Items
Proper packing is crucial to protect your belongings and other valuables either for transit or for storage. Once your packer arrives at your location, they first assess your packing needs. You can choose to have all furniture and appliances in your home professionally packed or only select rooms or items. In some cases, you may need to get help in disassembling your furniture for packing or ask for complete furniture removal and disposal if you no longer want to keep your old furniture pieces.
Have some office rubbish or a garage full of stuff ready to go? You can also book a rubbish removal service to help you get rid of items you don't want to store or bring with you when moving.
Gathering of packing materials
After assessing your furniture and other items to be packed, your packing professional gathers the necessary packing supplies and materials. This includes boxes of different sizes, rolls of tape and bubble wrap, heavy markers, sticker labels, scissors and cutters, and so on. If you have fragile furniture such as mirrors, antiques, or special paintings, our expert packers can take note of them and get the proper packing supplies needed such as speciality crates, furniture pads, and packing peanuts.
Packing and unpacking of items
Once your packer has gathered all the supplies, they are ready to get packing! Rugs and carpets are rolled carefully and wrapped securely, glass and crystal furniture are individually padded, or bubble-wrapped, and all boxes and packing cartons are sealed from top to bottom, on all sides to prevent any damage. They are then loaded into a moving van or vehicle ready to be transported to your new place or a storage facility.

I've been packing for weeks. It's amazing how much stuff is in a little flat. especially with home office included. I have arthritis in both hands limiting in how much I can do per day. I need help to wrap, make and seal boxes. Also, move these boxes down to under the flat until move day. I need someone who is kind, friendly, experienced in packing (to help me get organised), and physically healthy to balance my arthritis. Having two people at once is great if you work as a team. If the successful Airtasker is solo, I need 4 hours on Friday afternoon. If it's two people, they'll work for 2 hours together on Friday afternoon.
