My pool pump is buzzing for a few seconds then cutting out – classic sign of a failed start capacitor. Equipment: • Pump: AstralPool CTX280, 240V (build date 2019) • Chlorinator: AstralPool VX 11S V3 Salt Chlorinator • Filter: AstralPool EX Cartridge What I need: • Diagnose and confirm capacitor fault (or identify other cause) • Replace the capacitor and test the pump runs correctly • Confirm chlorinator "No Flow" error clears once pump is running Access note: The pump is located in a confined pit under a deck, about 1 metre below ground level with limited space. The easiest approach may be to disconnect the pipe unions and lift the pump out to work on it at ground level. I have not opened the motor yet. Happy to discuss before you arrive. Please bring a multimeter and a replacement capacitor (~25-35µF 450VAC) if you can, or advise if you need the model confirmed first. Looking for someone with pool pump / electrical experience. I am looking for someone experienced with spa repairs (spa technician preferred, or electrician with spa experience) to diagnose and repair a fault on a Signature Spa Mirage III. The spa was fully operational when inspected and collected from a previous owner's home a few weeks ago. It has since been relocated and reinstalled. Current issue: Spa powers on normally. Water begins circulating and jets start running. After approximately 5 seconds, the power trips. This occurs consistently each time it is restarted. The spa is connected to a newly installed 15A outlet. I am looking for someone to: Diagnose the cause of the fault. Check pumps, heater, control pack and electrical components. Identify whether the issue is related to moisture from transport, heater element, pump motor, wiring, or another fault. Provide a quote for any repairs likely required. My pool pump is leaking from the PVC pipe connection/joint area above the pump housing. The leak appears to be around the pipe fitting/joint, as shown in the attached photo. Pool chlorinator seems clogged with some white residue. this is stopping the pump from circulating - will need cleaned & then bring pool back to blue/swimmable before Easter. Pool is still very clean - just a little cloudy. Needs tiny basic clean.
