Top Garden Paving related questions

The material you should choose for your garden paving depends on many factors. First, consider your budget. There are both low-budget and high-budget paving products and materials in the market. Second, it depends on your design preferences and how you envision your garden to look. Durability and longevity are also essential since you want a paving material that is worth your investment.

It all depends on the size of your property. An average-sized garden can be paved in three to seven days. It can also be challenging to bring in heavy machinery in a garden, making the paving service a labour-intensive task. Bigger and more extensive gardens can accommodate these paving machinery, but paving work may also take some time to finish.

It’s generally recommended to wait for at least 24 to 48 hours before walking on your new garden paving. This window gives it time to settle, dry, and strengthen. Walking on it too soon can lead to uneven surfaces. You certainly don’t want that to happen! For best results, try not to place heavy furniture on your new garden paving for at least 28 days. You want your garden paving to be fully cured first.

No. Taskers typically carry their own professional tools to deliver a high-quality garden paving job. These tools may include a shovel, plate vibrator, paving slabs of your choice, and other materials and supplies. If you have those on hand and prefer to use them, coordinate with your Tasker and have it arranged before the service begins.

Yes, you can lay garden pavers yourself. But hiring a professional is much more convenient and highly recommended. Booking reliable garden paving services can save you precious time and money in the long run. Taskers can do plenty of work in a shorter amount of time because of their extensive experience and knowledge of garden paving.

Because of sunlight, weather conditions, and harsh chemicals, your garden paving slabs will fade over time, some types faster than the others. It’s a natural process, but you can prevent it by having them sealed. Generally, garden paving slabs need to be sealed every year to ensure that their colours will not fade. Besides that, cleaning them with gentle, biodegradable detergent with no bleaches or acids can also help prevent loss of colour.

What do garden paving services include?

Garden paving services can help you achieve the look you desire for your outdoor space! Whether you just had your property built or want your garden redesigned, a high-quality paving job can bring your vision to life. From assessing your property to laying down garden paving slabs, Taskers can readily take care of your needs. Here are some things to expect when booking garden paving near you:

Concrete garden paving

Concrete slabs are proven to be long-lasting and durable. Because of these properties, you can expect a great return on the money and time you invested in your garden! Concrete garden slabs can also be easily laid and re-laid if necessary, especially if there has been movement under your garden or if your pathway is blocking access to utility connections. On top of that, the versatility of concrete allows you to be creative with designs and patterns, helping you achieve the look you want! To match your concrete paved garden, why not hire a Tasker to install a concrete fence? This can add decorative appeal and increase the security of your property.

Natural stone garden paving

Natural stone is considered to be one of the most luxurious paving materials. It offers durability, versatility, and a wide range of sizes, shapes, colour, and style options. From precision-cut geometric blocks to irregularly shaped flagstones, natural stone paving fits all types of aesthetic preferences. Choose among a range of paving stones–sandstone, gravel, slate, granite, and limestone–and have a Tasker work with you to create your dream garden.

Brick garden paving

Brick pavers are also a popular choice of material for garden paving. It’s solid and durable, and its rectangular shape can provide you with lots of pattern ideas. Whether it’s a Herringbone, Pinwheel, Basket Weave or Grid pattern, bricks are a surefire way to bring interest and texture to your garden. Besides aesthetic purposes, choosing a pattern also helps tie the bricks together to keep them from shifting.

How about using garden bricks and wood in your landscape design? Consider hiring a Tasker to create bespoke outdoor furniture that can transform your garden into a more attractive space.

Rubber garden paving

If you want to have an eco-friendly garden, start with having rubber pavers! They are usually made with recycled tires and can give a completely different feel to your garden. Besides that, rubber pavers have superior slip resistance and shock absorption because they are usually not affected by water or extreme weather conditions. So feel free to place an outdoor playset like swings, slides, or even a trampoline on your rubber paved garden! You can even go all the way and have a landscaper install outdoor equipment like a garden bench or lighting fixtures.

Garden Paving

$100

Port Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

24th Aug 2020

I have an area that needs to be paved which is 70cm x 140cm. The current pavers in my courtyard are currently 455mm square which are plain concrete. Am looking for someone who can pave this area and match the pavers as close as possible. In the photo you will see my initial attempt at buying the stock standard pavers from Bunnings but clearly not to size. I had a look online to see if I could find pavers that were an exact fit for the area but couldn’t be found. I may need someone who has an angle grinder who can cut them to size.

Fida was amazing! Great job and prompt service, will definitely have him back for other jobs. He also has great taste in design which is a huge plus which is often hard to find, would highly recommend.
