What’s included with your lawn mowing service?
A standard lawn mowing service involves cutting the grass to between 5-10 cms (2”- 4”), normally using a petrol lawnmower. Lawn mowing contractors will usually bring their own equipment, plus bags to take the rubbish away. If you have a large garden or acreage, a ride on mower might be required, so make sure you specify the size of the area in your post.

Edging and whipper snipping
Lawn mowing professionals will have a whipper snipper (and other tools) to give your lawn sharp edges and stop your grass from growing onto the footpath or curbs. They’ll also clean around garden beds, trees, and features for a clean, professional finish.
Rubbish removal
Your gardener may use a leaf blower or broom to remove cut grass from the pathways and edges to leave a clear surface. They’ll also take away any lawn clippings, twigs, and any debris that was on the grass before cutting. If you prefer, you can ask that they leave the grass clippings for you to use as mulch or compost.
Lawn mowing does not usually include removing hard rubbish and waste from your grass. If you want your gardener to clear the area before cutting, make sure you specify this so they can include it in their quote.
Fertilising
Keeping your lawns lush and green requires regular feeding and should be part of your garden maintenance. Knowing which fertilisers to apply and when can make the difference between golf-club enviable green and corn flakes crunchy lawns. Strong, healthy lawns need less watering and are more weed resistant.
Weed killing
Keeping weeds out of your lawns will make them a more welcoming place to play, rest, and relax without worrying about prickles and spikes. Regular trimming, manual weed removal, and organic or chemical weed kill will keep your lawns looking a lot healthier, too. You might also add on weeding for your garden beds so your whole garden can look tidy.
Leaf blowing
Leaves on your grass and driveway not only look messy but can create a hazard if they get wet and slippery. Your gardener can provide leaf blowing services and a garden tidy up, including removing the dry leaves.
Aerating
Soil can get compacted over time, so regular aerating is a good idea if you want to keep it healthy. To aerating your lawn, your gardener will use a machine to make small holes in the ground at regular intervals. This allows for better drainage and allows air, water, and nutrients to reach the roots of the grass.
Seeding
If your lawn has bare patches or is still getting established, you can add garden seeding to your lawn mowing service. Professional gardeners have the tools, equipment, and know-how to freshly seed your lawn and get it growing in no time.

I am needing somebody to do my mowing. My mower and whipper snipper recently died. I have gotten a whipper snipper and done part of the back yard but have an inspection on Friday and can't get it done alone. The front yard doesn't really need to be done much, just a quick once over but the backyard is very long. I also have some garbage (not food, mostly bagged up boxes and general rubbish) and a couple branches that need removing if anyone can do both 😊 I get paid tomorrow and will accept somebody first thing tomorrow morning 😊

Looking for someone to give my yard a full tidy-up. Single-storey house, small-to-medium backyard plus two side passages. What's needed: 1. Weeding (main job) — pull/uproot weeds (not just snip the tops). Areas include: the lawn itself (lots of dandelion, thistle, broadleaf), the mulched garden bed along the back fence, the brick paver paths down both sides of the house, weeds growing between pavers and along the brick/wall edges, and around the gas meter and bin area. 2. Lawn mow — side yard lawn, plus whipper-snipper/edge along the paver borders, fence line and retaining logs. 3. Clean-up — sweep/blow the paver paths clean afterwards and bag all green waste.
