Install 240mm MDF Skirting Boards Looking for an experienced carpenter or handyman to install 240mm primed MDF skirting boards throughout my home. Scope of works: Install new 240mm MDF skirting to both plasterboard and rendered brick/masonry walls. Prepare walls by removing any loose material, old adhesive and debris. Fill voids and uneven areas where required to provide a solid fixing surface before installation. Install skirting using a high-quality polyurethane construction adhesive (e.g. Sikaflex 11FC or equivalent). Plasterboard walls: Fix using adhesive and brad nails into studs where possible. Rendered brick/masonry walls: Fix using adhesive, with mechanical masonry fixings where required (countersunk and filled) to ensure a secure, long-lasting installation. Fill all nail/screw holes and joints, ready for painting. Ensure tight joints, neat mitres and a professional finish throughout. Some walls have existing damage where the old skirting has been removed, and a few sections will require voids to be filled / flattened or prepared before the new skirting is installed. Installation 1 bedroom, hallway, lounge, kitchen and small area outside bathroom. Approximately 70 lineal metres worth. Skirting boards are here ready to be cut accordingly. Need the job done asap. 1 room has been done. Need the rest completed with continued scribe joining and silicone. Also ensure skirting is attached through to the masonry with screws

I'm looking for someone with experience in sanding painted timber to sand the skirting boards and picture rails in my bedroom. The room measures 3.1 m × 3.6 m. The skirting boards and picture rails are currently coated with oil-based paint. I need them sanded back thoroughly so they're smooth and ready for me to apply a primer before repainting them with a water-based (acrylic) paint. Please bring your own sanding equipment. I'd appreciate someone who can work neatly and minimise dust where possible.

The Issue: A section of the black vinyl skirting board at the base of our pre-test room wall has completely detached from the wall. It is bowing outwards into the walkway, creating a distinct trip hazard for our staff and patients. The Job: The task is to re-secure the skirting board flat against the wall. The scope of work will involve: 1. Preparing the area by cleaning off old, failed adhesive from the back of the skirting trim and the plasterboard wall. 2. Supplying and applying a heavy-duty, commercial-grade contact adhesive or high-tack construction adhesive. 3. Pressing and securing the skirting board firmly back into place so it sits flat and flush, especially around the corner near the door frame. 4. Cleaning off any excess adhesive for a neat, professional finish. Door handles to be swapped from previous door. If possible putty to also be applied to the small part of damaged door frame (I don’t have any putty you would need to bring). Please have insurance.
