The carpet has been pulled/frayed and may require: Carpet patch repair OR re-stretching Securing loose edges Making the area look neat and blended as much as possible Not sure if patching or partial replacement is the best option, so open to recommendations.

My washing machine leaked onto the carpet and I'm currently drying it out but I think the underlay needs to be replaced.
