We have existing swing out gates and a pedestrian gate alongside the side of our house but it is covered with mesh. We are wanting pickets drilled into the existing frames and also a latch welded in to close the gates together rather than using a chain to hold them together. Metal posts already cemented in also holding the gates up.

Picket fence gate has ‘slipped’ so it now hangs lower than the latch point. It’s not just the hinges but the structure of the gate that is in need of repair. The return spring to be replaced There are also 2 fence post finials that are loose to be repaired.

To insert approximately 20 star pickets @ 600mm deep across a sloping back yard, ready for wire fencing. Star pickets supplied. You may need a post driver as ground is rocky underneath top soil layer. Pickets will need to be driven down about 600mm for stability.

Rotten and broken fence picket x 1 needs repainting and replacing

Hi Airtaskers, looking for a professional / experienced person to repair / rebuild parts of a picket fence with a gate at the front of my house. This may require sourcing the materials, painting the correct colours (we have some council restrictions I think). Current fence - some of it is in good condition but some palings is broken, including the gate itself. I don’t think this job requires concrete work. There are 7 posts to be replaced (we have all the caps). Plus a section of the fence next to the gate (which was taken out by a fallen tree) needs to be replaced. This is about 1m wide.

I am attaching some pickets to an old steel gate. I have neither the time, patience or skill to get it right I do have is the pickets, self tapping screws washers for someone else to complete the job for me. It should be pretty straightforward for someone that can confidently drill pilot holes and accurately lineup the pickets across both gates
