When renovating the house the NBN cable was cut and now needs a new plug so the modem can be connected. The plug needs to be attached to the wall and ensure the service is working when completed. Description: I need an electrician or registered data cabler to assist with part of my NBN FTTC to FTTP upgrade. The job is to run a fibre cable (Prysmian SC/APC to SC/APC, 30 m) from the external NBN wall box to the internal location where the existing sockets are. The cable needs to be run under the house. Access is available but it is not completely clear or stand-up height. The NBN team identified this route previously but will not complete it due to current policy restrictions. The fibre should enter the house at the internal wall near the existing socket panel. It is important that this is done neatly with no damage to floors or walls, and that all entry points are properly sealed so there are no gaps or holes that could allow insects or drafts. A blank faceplate to be fitted, prior to NBN fitting their own kit in its place. A clean, professional finish at the faceplate is important. Approximately 0.5 m of fibre needs to be left inside the house (behind the faceplate at this point for the NBN technicians. There is an existing copper cable that was run through the same route by NBN around two years ago. Photos and a floor plan are attached. Hi, Vodafone has confirmed that the property is connected to the NBN however, during previous renovations the internal cabling may have been missed to be patched back.We purchased the house after the renovation and are now unable to locate where the NBN/internet lead-in enters the propert. Hi there 👋 I had an NBN fibre upgrade appointment, but the technician couldn’t complete the installation because I wanted the indoor NBN connection box/modem installed in my closet (where my current setup is). He said he couldn’t use the existing cable path as it runs inside the brick facade, and therefore couldn’t get a new fibre through to that point. He also didn’t install the outdoor unit for the same reason. He advised me to get a licensed electrician/data cabler to: Create a new cable path or conduit from outside (where NBN will mount the outdoor unit) to the closet where I want the modem. Ensure the cable route is ready for NBN to return and complete the fibre connection. Need to change HFC NBN port location. Currently it's in the living room and i'd like to change it to my bedroom. Theres an old ADSL port thats currently in the bedroom which might help with drilling.

NBN technicians advised that a conduit is required for the NBN box to be installed in a specific room. It needs to be run through the roof or along the wall. Possible 10m

We’re upgrading our internet connection from fibre-to-the-node to fibre-to-the-premises. A technician attended to complete the installation but was unable to finish the job, as he couldn’t run the cable from the Telstra box at the front of the house through the roof cavity and down to the internal internet port. He mentioned that he’s not permitted to enter the roof cavity, but an electrician would be able to complete this part. He left the NBN cable here and advised me to contact an electrician. The main challenge is that the roof pitch is quite low, so roof tiles will need to be removed for access. There are also solar panels on the roof and ducted air conditioning in the roof cavity. I’ve attached images of the external box, the internal port location, and an aerial view of the house showing where the cable needs to be run through the roof. Im flexible with cost.

Move NBN from front of the house to the study cupboard. Recent renovations and electrician advised there was plenty of cable for this if we wanted to do it in future. Single story home. Tiled roof.

Unfortunately our puppy ate our NBN cable 😅 would love someone to come fix/replace it. If you offer to also install puppy proofing cover on the new cable, would love that too!

NBN cable is in the roof of my yoga studio and nerds to be relocated so the ntd and modem can be plugged in near a power point. It is quite long so allows some leeway. Hopefully install a cable wall plate so it’s tidy?

My Airbnb guests say the wifi is “not working”. I can’t be more specific , sorry. They have turned the modem off, then on again. I’ve checked and there are no NBN outages, nor service provider outages. I’d like to add cables one direct to the NBN outlet (to eliminate wifi problems) and one to the aerial (so free to air broadcast TV is available)
