We are reaching out for quotes on our 1 yr built home in Lakelands. We currently have sand and lots of it and a small paved alfresco under roof. We are wanting to composite deck the squared area to the retainer blocks both east facing and south facing then to the sliding back door with all edges aligned to the house structure. Repair/adjust loose merbau decking boards, front and back of house. * There are half a dozen boards that need reaffixing (nails not screws), some of these need to be realigned too (maybe using some sort of spacer to hold them in position). * There is one section of 3-4 boards that has a slight spring to it, I suspect the joist needs fixing. * While you're here, I'll also ask you to punch back in any other nails which have risen over the years (maybe 20- 30 nails in total). Looking for a qualified and experienced carpenter/deck builder to ideally repair and rejuvenate our front covered wooden deck at our home in Innaloo. The deck is approximately 6.7m x 3.2m and is worn/weathered in some areas. We’re open to recommendations and pricing options, to replace only the worst affected boards/panels and restore/re-varnish. We would also like the existing L-shaped wooden seating removed, with ideally one section rebuilt/reinstalled along the house wall. The current seating frame may be reusable and the storage space underneath is currently used for a mower and gardening tools, so would like to retain some storage functionality if possible. Job includes all standard preparation steps: - Sweep and remove debris between boards - Tighten a couple of screws and maybe other minor repairs if deemed necessary (after consultation with me) - Wash/scrub using deck cleaner, rinse, let dry completely (planks are a bit old so no high-pressure washer) - Sand first with low grit to strip old coating then medium grit for smoothing (planks are a bit uneven so no floor sanding machine) - Sweep/brush to remove any sanding dust - Wash using timber brightener, rinse, let dry Job does not include oiling (will do myself). I can provide materials and tools apart from sander. Timing will be weather dependent before mid-February.

My timber deck (~20 sqm) requires cleaning and oiling using the Cabot's decking products. Cabot's products to be supplied by owner including cleaning brush, applicator head and bucket. Two coats required. Care to be taken to protect nearby walls, fences, umbrella, pool pumps and tiles. Application of protective tape (or similar) required prior to application of oil. Cutting in around the edges with a paintbrush by hand required. Also application with a paintbrush required around pool equipment, edge of pool and below pool fence. Experience with oiling decks required.

Looking for a quote to sand and seal deck. The deck has just been built (using recycled timber, mostly jarrah) and my back/knees need a break so hoping to oursource the final step. Theyve already had a light sand but needs a couple more passes of sanding and then sealing. My sander broke so need to bring your own. I have sanding belts... or will purchase the ones we need. I have the water based decking varnish already.

Old decking and joists underneath decking needs to be removed. I can dispose of it all so just need it chopped to approximately 40cm lengths. Beams (joists) also need to be chopped to the same length. Does not need unscrewing so should be pretty straightforward. - Due date: Needs to be done as soon as possible.
