Job includes all standard preparation steps: - Sweep and remove debris between boards - Tighten a couple of screws and maybe other minor repairs if deemed necessary (after consultation with me) - Wash/scrub using deck cleaner, rinse, let dry completely (planks are a bit old so no high-pressure washer) - Sand first with low grit to strip old coating then medium grit for smoothing (planks are a bit uneven so no floor sanding machine) - Sweep/brush to remove any sanding dust - Wash using timber brightener, rinse, let dry Job does not include oiling (will do myself). I can provide materials and tools apart from sander. Timing will be weather dependent before mid-February.

Hi Airtaskers, seeking a quote for the following work: Our rear timber deck (approx. 7m x 4m) has deteriorated a little over time. While it’s still structurally sound and usable, we’re looking to have the existing nails replaced with decking screws, followed by a sand and reseal. Our timber bifold doors are also in need of a sand and reseal. Currently, only one leaf of the bifolds opens smoothly, while the others scrape along the internal timber floorboards when opened. Given the house is a 1960s build, we suspect some movement may have occurred over time. Looking for either repair/realignment of the bifolds as part of the same job, or advice on whether this component requires a bifold install specialist to take a look. Appreciate it may be difficult to quote on the bifold door repairs (aside from sanding and resealing) without an onsite inspection. Cheers, Hugh

My timber deck (~20 sqm) requires cleaning and oiling using the Cabot's decking products. Cabot's products to be supplied by owner including cleaning brush, applicator head and bucket. Two coats required. Care to be taken to protect nearby walls, fences, umbrella, pool pumps and tiles. Application of protective tape (or similar) required prior to application of oil. Cutting in around the edges with a paintbrush by hand required. Also application with a paintbrush required around pool equipment, edge of pool and below pool fence. Experience with oiling decks required.

Looking for a quote to sand and seal deck. The deck has just been built (using recycled timber, mostly jarrah) and my back/knees need a break so hoping to oursource the final step. Theyve already had a light sand but needs a couple more passes of sanding and then sealing. My sander broke so need to bring your own. I have sanding belts... or will purchase the ones we need. I have the water based decking varnish already.
