We need an experienced Linux / networking engineer in Brisbane to recover and configure an existing Ubuntu ML server. The server is physically accessible, but we currently have no login credentials and no remote access. You are welcome to take the server away to work on it offsite, then return it once configured. Scope: * Safely regain administrative access to Ubuntu and reset the local password if required. * Preserve the existing server installation, data and ML environment. * Check networking, SSH and firewall configuration. * Review and back up the existing Headscale configuration. * Update Headscale to a current supported version. * Reconnect the server to our existing Headscale/Tailscale private network. * Establish reliable remote administrative access. * Return/reconnect the server and configure our router as required. * Check routing, NAT, DNS and firewall settings. * Test connectivity and confirm the setup survives restarts. * Provide brief notes on changes made. Please do not reinstall, reformat or rebuild the server without discussing it with us first. If disk encryption or another issue prevents safe access recovery, stop and advise before making destructive changes. Experience required: Ubuntu/Linux server administration, GRUB/password recovery, Headscale/Tailscale, WireGuard, SSH, routing, DNS, NAT, firewalls and router configuration. Run supplied Cat6 cable through ceiling/wall + quote further network work I’m currently tidying up and upgrading my home network and need someone experienced with data/network cabling to run a new Ethernet cable to one room. I already have a 300 m roll of Cat6 cable, so the cable will be supplied. There is existing network cabling around the house, but the current cable to this room takes an external route. I’ve recently discovered what appears to be a viable route through the ceiling/roof space and would like to use that instead. Initial job: 1. Assess the existing ceiling/roof access and identify the best route. 2. Pull my supplied Cat6 cable from the network/comms area through the ceiling space to the required room. 3. Drop the cable through the wall to the existing equipment location. 4. Terminate the room end to a proper RJ45 wall plate/keystone. 5. Terminate the comms-room end ready for my patch panel/network equipment. 6. Test the completed run I have a reasonably substantial UniFi home network and am currently reorganising the comms area so potentially more work I will supply the Cat6 cable. I work in an office where we don't quite have enough networking ports where we need them. I'm hoping to have these networking ports moved to the opposite side of the wall (total of five ports from two plates). Alternatively, we can run new cables into our server but would prefer not to do that unless it's easier for you. I do not have any equipment or cabling. I can obtain if required but would appreciate if you can please include this in your quote. I believe it's currently a CAT5e cables that are installed.

We’re primarily a Mac-based studio with 4 workstations. Our current setup includes: * Synology DS1621+ NAS with DX517 expansion * UniFi Dream Machine Pro and UniFi network hardware * 10GbE networking * MacBook Pro workstations * AWS NAS Backup, Dropbox cloud storage/sync, MEGA media library * Kyocera wifi printer + other wifi machines. We need someone who is particularly experienced with macOS, Synology and high-speed networking. The main priorities are getting the 10GbE network running properly across the studio, optimising NAS performance and file access, check cloud backup/sync, remote access/VPN, network security and generally review / clean up the existing setup. We need someone who is confident with business networking and can come onsite, assess the current setup and get everything working properly. $500 for a half day. Need help relocating my NBN modem/router to the garage in a 3-storey townhouse. The NBN box is upstairs and the house already has Ethernet wall sockets, including 3 upstairs and one in the downstairs office. I’d like someone experienced with home networking to work out the existing cabling and connect it so the modem/router can be moved to the garage, while keeping Ethernet available where possible. We don't want the modem on level 3 where all the bedrooms are, and to be sleeping next to EMF all night long. Ideally, the scenario is: - Move modem to the garage so WIFI is available throughout the house. - Allow for Ethernet where possible; plug the white cable into my PC so the speed is quicker. - or if you have a better idea then happy to hear it. - There is a wall socket in level 1 that we can get a super long cable so it can be wired to the modem in the garage, so if you can make it so it's not trip hazard then even better. Happy to buy any cables or equipment needed beforehand if you tell me what to get.

Must have Networking degree or certifications on enterprise grade LAN networks. The current router is Aruba with TPLink APs that are unable to add new users. The network is also connected to printers, VPN config etc. so DDNS config experience is must to ensure existing infra is not broken. We need to check why new users are unable to join the network and resolve the issue. You should have your own equipment to connect with router/ switch or modem.

We have a HP M404dn printer in store, but it's not detected in the network. Ensure staff are connected to new network connection correctly. Update HP printers to new IP address (supplied). Merakis are setup by our IT team in the UK. You will need to also load Subnet Mast, Gateway and DNS1/2 when on site. Property has two separate internet connections.
