My hardrive wasn't able to be saved but he was able to transfer my needed files to my external hardrive, reformat my Macbook and guide me with the set up. He even had all the tools with him to take apart an old macbook air for a different issue. Quick, knowledgeable, skilled and very polite. Would happily recommend him to anyone needing IT assistance. Any Mac doctors that can urgently help me? I did a hard shutdown and it's created a software issue - the progress bar on startup stops at 80% and safe mode freezes. I need my computer this weekend and most repair shops are either closed or not open tomorrow 💔

My son put his laptop for school into recovery mode for a software update. Whenhe started to download the update an error occurred saying that the download could not be complete. He checked disc utility and he tried to repair his SSD card and it said that it was corrupted and needs a repair. He then started internet recovery and it failed and it said error code 2003F. A flashing question mark is coming up on his screen now and he can not do anything because of that. Can not afford to get this fixed at Apple and need done asap so he can take to school on Tuesday.

I bought my laptop in 2012 (late 2011 model), now wanting to set it back up from factory settings as it's quite slow. Removed all content on to a hard drive and erased everything on the partition, then when trying to reinstall OSX Yosemite got the error message 'a required download is missing'. I turned it off and used the Cmd-Ptn-P-R trick at start up, but now get the prohibitory symbol (circle with a crossed line). Will pay for someone to stop in at my place in Craigieburn or less for me to drop in at their house in surrounding subs (I'm certain it is supposed to be a relatively simple fix for those with the knowledge to fix...)
