The source of the water has already been fixed, and the area has been completely dry for several weeks. The timber/MDF is slightly swollen and the paint has peeled in a few spots. There is also a small crack along the side of the frame. The job should include: Removing all loose paint and any soft or damaged material Sanding and reshaping the swollen area Repairing the damaged section with a suitable two-part timber filler or builder’s bog Filling the crack with a flexible paintable gap filler Applying a stain-blocking primer suitable for previous water damage Sanding the repair smooth Colour-matching the existing white paint and repainting the repaired section, preferably the full affected length of the trim so the repair blends in properly Leaving the area with a smooth, professional finish as close as possible to its original condition Please include all materials and tools in your quote.
