The machine is almost 9 years old. It's a Samsung BubbleWash 7.5kg front loader. It had been running fine without any problems, until yesterday, when it suddenly started making loud noises while spinning, with 14 minutes remaining on an 1.5 hour washing cycle. I immediately switched it off and felt that the drum is being obstructed. There was also rubber friction smell, and very small bits (like a couple of strands) of the rubber sheet between the drum and the opening had come off torn. After switching off, I rotated the drum, it seems a bit wobbly and a bit obstructed from spinning freely. I would like to save the machine and use it for a couple more years if it can be repaired easily.
