Rangehood Installation – Westinghouse 90cm Canopy Rangehood Looking for an experienced handyman or rangehood installer to install a new Westinghouse 90cm stainless steel canopy rangehood (model WRC904SD) in our kitchen. We previously had a rangehood installed in the same location, but it stopped working and has been removed. What needs to be done: - Install and securely wall-mount the new rangehood. - Assess and resolve a mounting bracket issue: the existing metal brackets don't fit the new unit, and the new rangehood's supplied brackets are slightly too narrow for the available wall area between the tiles. - Work out a suitable, safe mounting solution for the existing wall setup. - Connect the rangehood to the existing electrical point, if suitable and within your licence and scope of work. - Connect the existing ducting/exhaust and check that the unit is operating correctly. The existing electrical point and ducting are already in place. Photos of the current setup are attached. Electrician will provide Electrical Power Provision. You need to help to install the rangehood. Duct can be put through the back wall fence to face the open sky (1.5feet gap between my fence and neighbour fence). Refer to the rangehood model and and photo of the marked install area. In photo on top BBQ fence the light will be removed and power provisioned and connectivity will be provided by the electrician. There is a single phase power subboard under the bbq cupboard from where the power is coming through behind the wall fence. Hi, I’m looking for someone to install, including ducting for a new rangehood. The rangehood is a Smeg Victoria chimney-style rangehood, and there is currently no existing ducting to the outside, so a new ducted exhaust will need to be installed through eave. It’s a low set one story house. Tasker to provide ducting for room and external vent. There is a manhole for access. Electrical has been completed- they have installed a movable electrical outlet. I need an experienced handy person to install a re-circulating rangehood into an existing kitchen cavity. The rangehood is re-circulating (no ducting or electrical work required). The overall objective is to install the rangehood, but there are some anticipated steps (but I will require you to do all things necessary to install the rangehood within the agreed price): 1. The cabinetry has 2 ‘filler’ blocks obstructing the rangehood slot. These need to be cleanly removed without damaging surrounding cabinetry. I’m unsure how they are affixed to the surrounding cabinetry (by screws, glue or other). You may need to temporarily remove and re-hang the cabinet doors to get proper access. 2. Drilling new holes through the cabinet shelf, in order to align with the top of the rangehood, and securely mounting the rangehood unit. I will provide the rangehood and its standard mounting screws and the access to the power outlet, but cannot supply any tools or other materials.
