Important Details:The buzz is completely constant and does not change with screen brightness. It happens even on a pitch-black screen. This points directly to a mechanical or power supply vibration rather than a failed screen panel. The repair will require opening the back panel to tighten loose internal grounding/chassis screws, check the bezel, and potentially damp a humming power supply inductor/transformer coil. TH-P50VT20A. Last few months TV either turns on with remote or goes straight into standby mode. TV works fine after it is turned on. When it goes into standby mode it needs to be turned off at outlet, sometimes several times to turn back on. Standby light flashes red once every 3-4 seconds when it does happen. Outlet switched but same problem. Could be a capacitor issue. Looking for someone able to repair on-site.

I need help disposing of a 42” LG plasma TV (model 42PX5D-AB). The TV is not a smart TV but works with a Google Chromecast (not included).
