Hi, My wife and I last year moved into our home in Northcote and during our time here we have noticed smells emanating from our Laundry and Bathroom that travel through into the kitchen and living room. Our suspicion is that our laundry outlet is the cause of the issue as it is an open pipe without a p-trap or an AAV installed. and the second is an open pipe on the deck that needs to capped. For the laundry we see the need of: 1. Install a P-Trap 2. Install a vent junction with capped with a Studor AAV 3. The outlet for the laundry drain hose is screw sealed into the junction above.
