Hello, I am seeking quotes for completing the landscaping of my backyard. The task involves labour and effort estimation, with the possibility of future front yard work based on performance. Task Details: Backyard Dimensions: Approximately 13 metres x 14 metres, with an existing 3x3 shed (as shown in the photo). Plantation Boxes: Construct 600 mm wide plantation boxes along the back and right sides of the property (400 mm high). The boxes should be reinforced both internally and externally. Fill the boxes with quality soil. Levelling and Grass Preparation: Level the remaining area of the backyard. Prepare the soil and lay natural grass across the levelled area. Sleeper Box: Construct a 300 mm wide sleeper box along a 15-metre stretch, to be prepped for pot plants. Rock Bed: Level a 20-metre stretch with a 300 mm wide box next to the fence and fill it with decorative rocks. Additional Requirements: The landscaper is responsible for providing a detailed list of required materials and offering recommendations on the best options. All necessary tools, including a bobcat, should be provided by the landscaper. Removal of one section of the back fence will be required to allow access for the bobcat and soil delivery. 18 steel planter boxes need to be installed to make a retaining wall. Some soil will need to be moved/dug out to position the first row, after that, the next four rows step behind and soil can easily be pushed around to make room. PLEASE READ THESE NOTES CAREFULLY. This is NOT a gardening job. The project is to move/adjust position of existing concrete (i.e. heavy) planter boxes & install artificial plants in the planter boxes on my balcony. There are some sad plants already in place, and they can stay there, but the black river stones in the planter boxes will need to be removed so that the other 'plants can be easily installed, then the stones will be returned to the boxes. The plants will be attached to both the balcony railing and to each other so they stay fixed and in place using cable ties, which I will supply. THE JOB REQUIRES 3 THINGS: 1. muscle-power, 2. patience, and 3. a saw (a handsaw would do - if you have an electric saw that would be better). This would help if any of the larger 'plants' need to be cut. NO GARDENING SKILLS ARE NEEDED! However, I am quite particular and can be a bit fussy, but would also value your input if you see an opportunity for a more efficient or easier way to approach this task. The pictures show the existing black planter boxes with some old 'plants' in them, the pile of 'unplanted' artificial plants, my BBQ (used just once but so far so good) and also some other large pots which contain soil (so they are heavy) which will need to be taken to the basement where they will be picked up by a friend who wants them. I have a small item trolley (capacity 20 kgs), and a flatbed four wheel trolley (capacity 200 kgs) which I use for larger things such as - planter boxes! There is a lift! I anticipate it will take around 4 hours. Please note: If you want to rush in, get the job done, get me to write you a good review, pay you and then you fly out the door, then we will not work well together. If, however, you want to do a good job, are happy to fiddle around with it a bit, interested in doing something a bit different and would like sense of satisfaction from the project, AND get paid well (plus lunch) then this would suit us both.
