The aim is to get one clear overall garden direction before I start landscaping, including practical drainage and water-flow thinking. Scope required: • Overall plan for front and backyard • Garden bed locations, shapes and sizes • Lawn vs planted areas • Flower and plant layout ideas • Colour and style direction • Pathways and circulation, including clear side access to the rear • Edging, mulch and basic hard landscaping ideas • Garden lighting concept • Surface drainage / water-flow concept • Ideas for where pits, strip drains, spoon drains or garden falls may be needed • Consideration of existing trees, driveway, boundaries, house levels and natural fall of the land • Feature plants, screening and focal points Deliverable: A clear digital concept plan showing the overall garden layout, lawn areas, planting zones, paths, lighting ideas and drainage water flow direction. This will be used to brief landscapers I am not looking for full engineering drawings, but the design must consider practical drainage and water movement. Please include your approach, rough timeline and what is include and what is not. I am expecting the concept to include recommended trees, feature plants, screening plants, shrubs, grasses and flower/groundcover ideas, not just generic planting zones.
