Given the exposure to Point Cook’s strong winds, changing weather, and local soil conditions, I’m looking for someone who truly understands how to build a durable fence that can last at least 15 years. The front door was also sticking, but that’s already been fixed. 📋 Scope of Work: • Removal and disposal of the existing front timber paling fence • Supply and installation of a new 1.8m–1.95m high treated pine timber fence with: • Hardwood posts (75x125mm), embedded minimum 600mm deep in concrete • Treated pine rails and palings • Capping and plinth board included • Pedestrian gate repair: reuse existing gate panel, install new post and latch I’ve already received few quotes , which includes all materials, demolition, and installation. Their design uses hardwood posts and full concrete footings, but they only offer a 12-month warranty, which gives me some concern given the last fence collapsed early. That’s why I’m still looking for someone local, experienced, and confident in building a long-lasting structure suited to Point Cook’s environment — ideally someone who can back their work with a longer guarantee.
