Want the covers removed so it’s easier for the carpentry to make a small hole for the power points to be poked back through rather than cutting out a large rectangle piece for the existing power points. Hi I require an electrician to run cabling to connect two wall mounted speakers (yellow circle) to power. There is a wall outlet on the bottom left pillar. The trenches have been cut out on the right pillar. I checked that there is enough space on the left pillar for cabling so might be that no trench required on left pillar. I’m open to installing a GPO on right pillar. The speakers (Sonos era 100) use a c7 (figure 8) power cable, which I don’t have. I will patch and paint myself.

Our oven suddenly had no power after attempting to turn it on. The ignition for the stovetop also doesn’t work. The circuit breaker for the power line leading to the oven tripped into the off position when this happened. I called Westinghouse given this was within the warranty period for the oven and their technician visited today but said that I need to call an electrician as he believes there is an issue with the wiring into the wall (see picture - the oven itself is apparently fine). There is no powerpoint for this oven - as you can see in the pictures, the wiring goes straight into the wall. Keen to have a qualified electrician check this out and restore power so we can use our oven.

I’ve just had a large amount of work done on my car by a specialist mechanic (gearbox) but the logbook service wasn’t completed (so an oil change is needed) and now both reverse lights are also out. I need to replace hallway, bedroom, bathroom and living room downlights in an apartment (20 in total). Also need to replace flickering kitchen bench light (the led strip is roughly 285cm). Noticed that the downlights are directly connected to the wires with no socket, would you be able to help set up a socket per light so I can replace the downlight myself in the future. Out of the 20 downlights, only 2 are broken while the rest are still working fine. Would I still be able to use the working downlights if the connection is changed to a socket or would I need to throw them away as there's no plug at the end of the downlight? Please include the cost of the material and labour in the quote.
