The machine is a Hammer A3-31 combo jointer-thicknesser. It is now about 8 years old, and I have recently replaced all the carbide inserts. Prior to doing so, the machine began to make a noise which sounds like something is touching somewhere. It may be a belt coming apart. The noise is present in both thicknesser and jointer modes. It is, however, otherwise working perfectly in both modes.
