A tea towel caught fire and burned a hole through a small, isolated section of the kitchen benchtop. It is a separate narrow filler panel on the far left side of the gas cooktop (see photos). Need a handyman or cabinetmaker to remove this single small strip and replace it with a matching or similar builder-range stone-look laminate. No need to touch the main benchtop or move the gas cooktop since it’s a separate piece.
