Fisher & Paykel washing machine doesn't switch on power & Simpson Eziloader clothes dryer door needs minor repair. Problem could be very simple.

My kitchen garbage disposal unit was working fine before. Later, I installed a water purifier, but because there weren't enough power outlets, I didn't connect it. Now I bought a 1-to-2 adapter to connect it, but the garbage disposal unit isn't working any more. Want to check and fix it .

Rangehood in kitchen does not currently vent anywhere. Looking to install a vent connecting externally, either through the roof or through the adjacent brick wall. Preferably someone with carpentery skills and I'd like to box off the vent so it is hidden.
