Gas wont flow through to ignition point

Certified gas plumber to install stove top,replacing old one that has been removed.we are in ground floor apartment - easy access. Gas connection already in place just needs compliant connection.

Faults show on machine , apiston brand.. Maybe 8 years old

Hole for gas cooktop is too small, the gas fitter just discovered needs grinding back by a few millimetres on front edge to make hole bigger for new gas top
