The washing cycle works fine, but when it gets to the spin cycle, the machine stops. The drum looks like it’s about to start spinning, but then it stops again. The timer just keeps switching between 38 and 39 minutes without making any progress. I’ve already cleaned the filter (there was hardly anything in it) and tilted the machine slightly to drain the remaining water

We have a problem with our washing machine and wondering if you could possibly help? The Seiki washing machine is showing an E52 error. When it tries to spin, the drum jerks a few times slowly and then stops, and the cycle won’t continue. It also doesn’t spin even when the drum is empty. So far I’ve tried: • Turning the machine off at the wall and restarting it • Running a spin cycle with an empty drum • Checking that the drum spins freely by hand The drum rotates smoothly by hand, but during a cycle it just jerks briefly and stops, then showing E52.
