I have an approximately 60-year-old elevated wooden public housing house with a gas leak. The gas is only used for my hot water system. The gas meter was disconnected because the gas leak was considered unsafe, and I have been without hot water since December last year. The gas meter technician advised that the leak appeared to be around the gas meter/fitting line.
