The old rangehood has been taken off. 12.5 cm duct is already there so you just need to connect to the new rangehood. We want to replace it with this model: https://www.westinghouse.com.au/cooking/rangehoods/wri825bc/ So I believe a modification to the cabinet is required e.g. cutting the bottom shelf as the height of the new rangehood is higher than the available space. And reading the manual of the new rangehood, I think a new cabinet panel that needs to be cut out to fit the rangehood is required. And also a small panel at the front is required so that the rangehood is flush with the cabinet door. The old rangehood was a slide type but the new one is fixed.
