Plumbing - Relocate bathroom wall taps and drains

    $800

    Woodlands, Western Australia, Australia

    17th May 2017

We are about to renovate our bathroom. We would like to move the existing wall plumbing to the new vanity location, move the existing vanity drain into the wall (if possible) for the preferred wall-hung vanity. Install new mixer tap/outlet for bath and new bath drain. Relocate existing room drain out to centre of room (is currently under where the new bath will be positioned). Convert existing separate hot/cold taps in shower to mixer unit. I have attached a detailed layout diagram and photos showing the location of existing and proposed outlet locations. As we are renovating and re-tiling/painting this location it is no issue to break tiles/put holes in walls to do this work. After completion of works make-good the surface ready for tiling. Vanity pictured will be removed prior to plumbing work. The house is double-brick construction (single storey). I am unsure of effort required to complete this - budget is estimate only, quotes above this will be accepted if reasonable and commensurate with other offers. We have additional plumbing work pending within next 6-8 weeks for second (ensuite) bathrooms with similar plumbing requirements, this job will be posted separately at a later date. Please note that due to limited offers and higher than anticipated costs on offers received, I have revised the work requirement by posting an additional (new/separate) task which omits the desirable but un-necessary components (moving the shower drain and conversion of separate taps to mixer style). Only one of the two tasks will be approved. Posters may response to one or both task requests for the relevant works and I will decide whether to proceed with the optional items depending on what cost they add to the solution. Thanks!

We've just purchased a new dishwasher and don't have a separate connection for the water main to attach to. The Dishwasher is positioned next to the kitchen sink so has easy access to the hot and cold hoses for the sink, if required.

Excellent job, highly recommend Gary for his friendly and efficient service

Plumbing - Relocate bathroom taps/drains REVISED

    $800

    Woodlands, Western Australia, Australia

    17th May 2017

We are renovating our second bathroom. We would like to move the existing wall plumbing to the new (smaller) vanity location, move the existing vanity drain into the wall (if possible) for the preferred wall-hung vanity. Install new mixer tap/outlet for bath and new bath drain. Relocate existing room drain out to centre of room (is currently under where the new bath will be positioned). A separate task was previously posted which included moving the shower drain to the edge and converting separate hot/cold taps to a single mixer unit. Due to the higher than expected cost these items have been removed from this revised request. Only one of the two tasks will be actioned (most likely this one), but feel free to quote on both and if additional cost is more reasonable than I may reconsider. We have additional plumbing work pending within next 6-8 weeks for primary (ensuite) bathroom with similar plumbing requirements, this job will be posted separately at a later date.

    Bathroom waterproofing and tiling

    $1,200

    Woodlands, Western Australia, Australia

    18th May 2017

We are in the process of renovating our bathroom. We require the following: Waterproofing Re-mudding of floor in wet areas, waterproofing of areas as required (requesting wall-to-wall waterproofing in shower recess area and floor [Content Moderated] recess by 1800 high) - while not required under code, we have had too many issues with leaky showers/cracked tiles to want repeats. Floor Tiling Install floor tiling (300x300 beige/sand coloured rectified floor tile) with similar colour fine grout (2mm gap if possible): - approx 4.25sqm in bathroom (includes shower recess) with 3 floor drains (freestanding bath, standard floor, and shower) - approx 1.15sqm in toilet, with single floor drain (plus toilet). Wall Tiling Install walls tiling (300x600 gloss white rectified wall tile) with white fine grout (2mm gap if possible) - approx 12sqm in bathroom (includes shower recess) with 1.2m (4 tile) height on most walls and 2.1m (7 tile) in shower. One window area will require mitring of tiles with cutout in wall of 390mm x 690mm wide. Additional tile work around shower hob (which needs to be lowered, or removed if possible) to either tile over hob, or tile a step-down into shower. (Shower screen will be primary water barrier). - approx 2.2sqm in toilet (2 tile height on 3 walls, 1420 deep by 800 wide. Seal all grouting to complete. Existing wall tiles are being removed and walls plastered level in preparation for tiling works. Electrical outlets have been disabled and removed. Plumbing works will have been completed in advance of tiling requirement. Prefer tiling works to be completed week commencing 29th May (may be able to start earlier pending completion of other works).

Plumbing - Relocate Laundry wall taps and drains

    $600

    Woodlands, Western Australia, Australia

    16th May 2017

We are about to renovate our laundry, we would like to move the laundry tub 400mm to the left and the wall mounted taps/outlet need to moved under the sink for dual outlet taps that support both the above sink tap mixer and the washing machine. (The existing tap and drain locations will otherwise be outside of the proposed cabinet). The existing outlets for the washing machine should be sealed off and removed. I have attached a detailed elevation diagram showing the location of existing and proposed outlet locations. As we are renovating and re-tiling/painting this location it is no issue to break tiles/put holes in walls to do this work, after completion of works make-good the surface ready for tiling. The house is double-brick construction (single storey). I am unsure of effort required to complete this - budget is estimate only, quotes above this will be accepted if reasonable and commensurate with other offers. We have additional plumbing requirements for two bathrooms renovations with similar work requirements. 1 job has been posted separately (these jobs can be done together at the same time - please state if any discount for completion of both jobs together) with the last bathroom plumbing job to be done after the completion of the first bathroom - and as such will be posted separately in the coming weeks.

Great job, very responsive and happy to help... Thorough and detailed - took the time to do things right.
