We are Final Mile Engraving, a Farnborough-based business providing on-site medal engraving at running events. We need a friendly, confident and reliable person to help operate our stand at a running event on Sunday 27 September. Transport will be provided from an agreed pickup point in or near Farnborough at approximately 7:00 a.m. We expect to return at around 3:00 p.m., although you must be flexible because the event may finish later if we are busy. **The task will involve:** * Helping unload equipment and set up our gazebo, tables and signage * Welcoming runners and explaining our medal-engraving service * Proactively promoting and selling the service * Taking customer orders and checking names and finish times carefully * Collecting card or cash payments * Managing the customer queue and medal-collection process * Keeping customers informed during busy periods * Helping dismantle the gazebo and pack the equipment afterwards No engraving experience is required, as a full briefing will be provided. You must be: * Aged 18 or over * Punctual and dependable * Friendly and confident speaking with customers * Comfortable promoting and selling a service * Organised and accurate when recording customer details * Comfortable standing for extended periods and helping lift event equipment * Available from 7:00 a.m. until approximately 3:00 p.m. or potentially later **Payment** Payment is structured as £75 plus £1 for every medal engraved during the event. Based on expected sales, total payment is likely to be approximately £125. Total payment will be guaranteed to meet the applicable minimum wage for all hours worked, and any necessary adjustment will be made through Airtasker. Transport, lunch and coffee are provided. We don't have the decoration for the venue yet, but it will be mainly putting the arch together and styling it alongside styling the ceremony area with flowers etc... We prefer someone that has experience decorating wedding venues, we are open to either getting the decoration ourselves and you would pick it up and deliver it to the venue on the 22nd and then you go to set up the venue to decorate the venue at 9AM or if you would like to use your own decoration whether that's by purchasing some Temu decoration and delivering it at your own ease the day before or early morning of the 23rd and setting it up -or you might already have your own decoration that we can hire for the day - we're open to any suggestions, we also need some signage (minimal) and table flowers/decoration as the venue will be in a garden (empty) chairs will be provided, and the dining room comes with tables, chairs etc.. but we might need some flowers/candles to make the room cosy. The job also involves picking up the decoration/removal at the end of the day or the day after
