I’m looking for one strong, careful person to work alongside me rearranging some items in my storage unit at Britannia Beckwith in Newhaven, so that I can retrieve belongings that are currently difficult to access. The job will involve moving and temporarily shifting boxes and some pieces of furniture within the unit, helping me search for and retrieve the things I need, and then restacking everything securely afterwards. I’ll be lifting, carrying and shifting things too, so we’ll be working through the unit together. I’m not certain where everything I need is packed, so there will be an element of working our way through the unit to find it. This is not a full clearance or removals job, and no van or transport is required. I’m allowing up to three hours, although we may well finish sooner. The full £90 fee will apply even if the job takes less than three hours. Some of the boxes and furniture may be heavy, so you’ll need to be comfortable lifting and moving bulky items. Care is important too, as these are stored household and personal belongings. Ideally I’m looking for someone reliable, practical and happy to work methodically with me as we search through the unit and safely restack things afterwards.

I have some home items, equipment and boxes from me moving out of my rental that need taking to my storage unit (wise storage) in Hastings. Dumbbells (heavy - these are the adjustable ones) and some exercise bits (small) about 5 boxes of bits, a large TV, and some miscellaneous items (still sorting through!) would fit in a transit van but it's too much for our mini! I am moving items of furniture and boxes from my ground floor flat into a storage unit in Brighton. The storage facility is providing a removals van with a driver and one other but they've been very clear about providing minimal help. They require me to have two additional helpers to load and unload. The storage unit is on the first floor of the facility but accessible via a lift.
