I’m looking for an experienced, tidy painter/decorator to paint my newly plastered garden office this week, ideally over two consecutive days. Room details • Garden office, approximately 3 m × 4 m (12 m² floor area) • Walls and ceiling were plastered approximately two weeks ago and are now fully dry • The laminate floor and underfloor heating are being installed next week, so I need the decorating completed beforehand • Empty room / clear access, subject to your confirmation Scope of work • Properly prepare and mist-coat/seal the new plaster as required • Protect windows, doors, sockets, skirting/frames and any fixed surfaces • Apply two coats of premium contract matt to the walls and ceiling on Day 1 • Allow the correct drying time between coats — manufacturer guidance for Dulux Trade Diamond Matt, for example, is typically 4–6 hours before recoating, depending on conditions.[duluxtradepaintexpert] • Return on Day 2 to apply: • Brilliant White vinyl matt to the ceiling • Farrow & Ball Drop Cloth Estate Emulsion to the walls • Clean, sharp cutting-in and a tidy finish • Leave the room clean on completion and remove/properly dispose of any waste generated Materials I will supply the main paint: • Premium contract matt for the initial coats • Brilliant White vinyl matt for the ceiling • Drop Cloth Estate Emulsion for the walls Please bring your own tools and standard consumables, including brushes, rollers, trays, dust sheets, masking materials, filler/caulk for minor touch-ups, sanding equipment and cleaning materials. Please flag in advance if you think a separate primer/mist coat product is needed for the fresh plaster.
