My bathroom sink’s pop-up waste plug is completely stuck in the closed position. The metal operating rod underneath has been removed during troubleshooting, but the plug won’t lift. I need someone experienced with basin waste mechanisms to release the plug, reconnect the rod and check everything works without leaks. If the mechanism is faulty, please advise whether it needs replacing. Ideally looking for someone available today or tomorrow. Please confirm if you can handle this repair.
