I’m looking for an experienced TV installer or handyman to assess and, if suitable, mount a 50-inch TV above my fireplace in an older property. The TV will be mounted on the chimney breast, so I need someone who can: * Assess whether the wall is structurally suitable to safely support the TV and wall bracket. * Determine the wall construction and whether the chimney behind it affects the installation. * Recommend the appropriate fixings or mounting method. * Securely install the wall bracket and mount the TV if the wall is suitable. * Ensure the TV is level, secure, and professionally installed. Please only get in touch if you have experience mounting TVs on chimney breast walls in older properties. When responding, please include: * Your experience with similar installations. * Your quote for both the assessment and installation. * Your availability. I’m doing a self build extension and need to open up a section of external wall. I can get the RSJ but need someone to help me fit. I’ll do all the prep and I’ll do the clean up etc afterwards so the job is literally the fitting of the steel. Many thanks. (Photo is from before the extension started going up and RSJ is along red line) To clarify I need someone who will help me prop the wall safely, chip out the bricks for the beam, insert the. RSJ and pack it properly. Ideally a builder who has done this before and would be covered by their insurance in case somehow it went terribly wrong!) Let me know quotes.

I saved the kitchen units that were removed from my kitchen and I’d like to install them in the basement. Something to bear in mind is that the back wall is tanked with plastic sheeting which should not be damaged, so the units will need to be connected to the studs only.
