I am looking for an experienced carpenter to build a custom, built-in corner desk to match my existing alcove bookcase. Scope of Work: Construction: Build and install a custom desk surface and a small base cabinet in the corner area (as shown in the attached photo). Integration: The desk needs to be professionally scribed to the walls and the side of the existing bookcase for a seamless, built-in look. Cable Management: Please include a neat cable grommet or cut-out for my monitor and desk cables. Finish Prep: Please use paint-grade MDF or suitable timber. Ensure all edges are filled and sanded to a smooth finish, ready for me to prime and paint. Painting: I will be handling all painting myself, so you are only responsible for the structural build and installation. Requirements: Please provide photos of similar built-in or custom cabinetry work you have completed. I require a site visit to take exact measurements and discuss the design before final confirmation. Please include your estimated timeline for completion. Budget: 400 - Budget is flexible based on materials and complexity—happy to discuss after a site visit.
