Office Repaint Required – SE1 [near Southwark Tube] We need an experienced painter/decorator to repaint our former office before handover. Size: Approx. 1,215 sq ft across two floors Rooms: - 2 main office rooms - 1 medium meeting room - 1 large meeting room - 2 small demised WCs Finish: All walls to be repainted white throughout Existing walls are currently a mix of white, green, pink and yellow, so likely to require at least 2 coats Some small holes from pictures/fixtures will need filling and making good before painting We need a clean, professional finish suitable for office handover Contractor to advise on how much paint is required so we can purchase/order the correct quantity Please provide a quote for labour, and confirm any additional materials/preparation costs Ideally looking for someone who can complete the job quickly and efficiently Please include examples of similar office/commercial painting work and your availability - we are relatively flexible but must be complete by 12 October LATEST A couple of old pictures attached BEFORE the office was painted to give an idea of size of rooms

Dimensions - Approx. 10’10” x 9’2” (3.3m x 2.79m) plus top perimeter wall edge. Scope of Work... * Prep & Repair - Scrape back blown/flaking plaster and paint around the historic water stain area. * Stain Blocking - Apply stain-blocking primer/sealer (provided) to ensure no bleed-through. * Filling/Sanding - Fill, smooth, and sand any damaged areas to a seamless finish ready for paint. * Painting - Apply 2 coats of kitchen ceiling paint (provided). 1. Remove all loose paint * Scrape every area where the paint is lifting or flaking. * Use a sharp scraper rather than trying to sand the loose paint flat. * Feather the edges of the remaining sound paint with 120–180 grit sandpaper. 2. Repair the damaged timber From your photos, there are areas where the timber appears weathered and slightly split, particularly around the horizontal moulding. For shallow damage: * Use a good exterior-grade flexible wood filler. * Push it into cracks and damaged sections. * Let it cure fully. * Sand progressively to around 180 grit. For any soft/spongy timber, don’t just fill it. The decayed section needs to be cut back to sound timber and repaired/replaced. 3. Deal with the joints/cracks There are visible cracks where the mouldings meet and around the window frame. Use a high-quality exterior flexible paintable sealant rather than ordinary decorator’s caulk. This is particularly important because timber expands and contracts. 4. Prime any exposed bare timber This is important. Supply and paint with - Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin This would be my choice for the window frame, timber mouldings and exterior trim shown in my photos. It is designed for exterior wood, metal, masonry, plastic and other surfaces, water-shedding, vapour-permeable and resistant to cracking, blistering, flaking, rain and severe weather. Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin — 2 coats and give particularly exposed areas such as the window sill and projecting mouldings an additional coat. The technical data specifically recommends an extra layer on high-exposure areas such as sills and eaves.

Hello! I am experienced DIYer in need of some help. We are moving out of a commercial unit and need help demolishing a stud wall (with my guidance), filling holes and repainting a commercial unit. Pictures of the unit as it is and the state it will need to be restored are attached. The job will run from Sunday 27th - Tuesday 29th. I am looking to employ the help of 2-3 people total. Experience preferred but not essential. The job pays £20/hr, so £160/ 8 hour day.
