I’m looking for someone to prepare and repaint my front door. The existing paint is cracked and peeling, so it will need to be properly stripped and/or sanded before repainting. The job will involve: * Removing all loose and flaking paint * Sanding the door back to a smooth, even surface * Preparing the surface for painting (cleaning and priming if required) * Repainting the door in a black finish The door is a standard external front door. Please bring your own tools and equipment. You can supply paint or advise on what to purchase. Experience with surface preparation and exterior painting is important to ensure a high-quality, long-lasting finish. Flexible with timing, but would like this completed as soon as possible. handyman needed to restore the visible faces of timber railway sleepers in my back garden after they were painted with light grey exterior paint a few days ago. The job is to remove the paint to achieve a natural, rustic timber appearance as It was underneath before. Job includes: - Bring your own equipment (angle grinder with paint stripping disc, belt sander or similar). - Remove the paint from the visible faces of the sleepers. - Leave a weathered, reclaimed timber finish. - Take care around plants and shrubs. - Clean up afterwards. And then place a clear sleeper protector This is a straightforward manual job. Previous woodworking experience is helpful but not essential if you have the right tools.
