I had 7 cables for Ethernet sockets ran to two rooms upstairs, and one room downstairs and terminated into wall sockets. All cables end up in our computer cupboard where they should ultimately connect to our router & optical internet hub. I thought I had an expert set it up but he installed the wrong "plastic ends" on the Cat5e cables and they won't plug into the router - I think they need trimming or possibly replacing. When it was installed the place was a building site, but now 90% done, and I need it all connected and checked to make sure that the 1GB optical bandwidth is available to all points in the house. I don’t have any Ethernet parts or specialist equipment on-site so please byo.

My access to my email at Lycos mail is down and has been for days. I've just seen a notice on Lycos.com that appears to suggest the service will be discontinued. I urgently need to transfer my mailbox to my Gmail account (or another provider if easier). I really need help doing this, have started but can't get it to work through the Gmail add account service, and am nervous about downloading tools like SysTools IMAP Migration in case it's not a genuine company and it introduces bugs to my computer. It's very time consuming and I need an expert for support.
