One will need a combination of wooden battens and brackets to fix to the concrete post on one end, and slides into on the other end (see images). Basic carpentry skills and innovative approach required. Spray paint all. Remove all waste. Looking for someone with experience of similar tasks. Labour costs to remove old door frame and install 7 FD30 fire door frames, FD 30 doors, hinges and ironmongery to make HMO ready passing fire regulations (installed correctly with appropriate gaps) 5 of the new frames will need to be trimmed as I bought a larger size due to the wall being non standard size. A bedroom wall needs to be repaired with plastering as existing plaster has blown due to the hot weather. Before starting, the carpet in the bedroom should be covered with floor protection or surface protection film so no dust can get into the carpet. And special primer and sealer should be used to ensure it doesn't blow again. Ignore budget and provide your own realistic quote - materials and labour please.

I'm looking for someone to supply and fit a simple, budget-friendly door for the entrance to my cellar/vault at my lower ground floor flat in W14. The existing door frame is rotten and will need to be removed and replaced as part of the job. The door doesn't need to be decorative – just a basic, solid, weather-resistant door that can be securely closed and locked. A standard ledged-and-braced timber door (or similar) would be ideal if suitable. The job includes: - Supplying a new door and replacement frame. - Removing and disposing of the existing rotten door frame. - Fitting the new door and frame so it opens and closes properly. - Installing basic hinges and a lock/latch. - Installing a vent - Painting the frame and door if needed. - Tidying up after the work. I've included photos of the existing opening, as well as a photo of one of the other vault doors in the building to show the type of simple finish I'm looking for. Please include the cost of both labour and materials in your quote, and let me know what type of door you would install.

I need an experienced door technician or locksmith to repair a commercial frameless glass entrance door. The door is fitted with a GEZE floor spring and has stopped closing slowly. Instead, it slams shut. I believe the hydraulic oil has leaked from the floor spring, so it may need repairing, adjusting, or replacing. Job details: * Commercial frameless glass door * GEZE floor spring closer * Door slams shut instead of slow closing * Floor spring cover has already been removed for inspection * Please inspect, diagnose, and either repair or replace the floor spring if required * If replacement parts are needed, please let me know before carrying out the work (or include the part if you have it) Please quote for: * Labour only (if I supply the part) * Labour + replacement floor spring (if you can supply it) Please only apply if you have experience working with frameless glass doors and GEZE floor springs, as the door is heavy and needs to be aligned correctly after the repair.

need an experienced decorator or handyman to prepare and paint one feature wall in my son’s bedroom. Due to my mobility limitations, I need the successful person to move the bedroom furniture away from the wall before starting and put it back afterwards. The wall previously had decorative wooden strips removed, so it will need: * Moving furniture away from the wall. * Protecting the room and flooring. * Filling screw holes and any small imperfections. * Sanding the wall smooth. * Painting the feature wall with two coats (paint supplied by me). * Moving the furniture back into place once complete. The room will be decluttered before the job. One timber strip near the ceiling is staying in place and does not need to be removed. Please include all labour and any filling/sanding materials in your quote. I will supply the paint.
