I’m looking for someone experienced in laminate flooring to install new flooring in a bedroom that is being converted into a living room/snug. **Room size:** approximately 3.5m × 4m (14m²). The job would involve: * Removing the existing carpet and underlay * Checking the existing chipboard/wood subfloor is suitable for laminate * Removing any existing carpet grippers/staples as required * Laying 3mm laminate underlay * Installing approximately 14m² of 8mm click-lock laminate flooring * Maintaining the required 10mm expansion gap around the room * Cutting neatly around the doorway and other edges * Fitting matching scotia/beading around the existing skirting boards * Fitting/finishing the doorway threshold as required * Leaving the finished floor clean and ready for furniture I will supply the laminate, underlay and matching scotia. I have approximately 16.75m² of laminate to allow for cuts and wastage. The room will be completely emptied beforehand and I will be decorating before the flooring is installed. Ideally I would like the work completed in one day. Please let me know your experience with click laminate flooring, your estimated price, and whether there are any additional materials you would recommend I have ready before you arrive.

I’m looking for an experienced flooring/joinery professional to repair a section of subfloor in a bedroom. The floor was previously repaired, but the contractor used a large board/sheet rather than replacing the original floorboards/planks. The repair is now uneven and the board has started to lift, so the floor is not suitable for carpet to be fitted over it. Job required: * Remove the existing board and inspect the area underneath. * Replace it with suitable floorboards/planks, matching the existing floor where possible. * Ensure the boards are securely fixed and supported. * Make the repaired area completely level and stable. * Leave the floor ready for underlay and carpet installation. I’m looking for someone with experience in subfloor repairs and floorboards who can complete the job to a good professional standard. Please provide an approximate quote and availability. I need some maintenance work done on my natural wood floors, which were originally treated with a hard wax oil in matte finish. Several years have gone by without proper maintenance.. There are some spots that need to be treated with tannin spot remover, other mottled areas with a few small cracks from some slight water damage that need to be sanded and treated with a polyx oil, with the cracks filled with a wood floor sealer. Then the entire floor throughout the flat needs to be cleaned with a liquid wax cleaner, which means lifting some rugs and moving a bit of furniture, which I can help with. I have all of the products (Osmo, plus Bona for the crack sealer). I’m looking for somebody with more time and experience than I to do this. It is a three bedroom flat, with wood floors in all rooms except the bathrooms, although the areas that need special/spot treatment are few and far between.
