I need an experienced and reliable person to install new timber flooring in a small bedroom (approximately 7 square meters). The room dimensions are 2.6m x 2.6m. The job includes preparing the subfloor, laying the new timber flooring, and installing skirting boards. I have floor timber planks, underlayment foam and the flooring is ready to be laid. The ideal candidate will have their own tools and a portfolio of past work. The job site is in the Gold Coast area. This task includes the following steps: Subfloor Preparation: Removing any old flooring, making sure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level. Underlay Installation: Laying the underlay correctly. Timber Flooring Installation: Laying the new timber planks according to the manufacturer's instructions. Skirting Board Installation: Cutting and installing new skirting boards to finish the edges. Cleanup: Removing all job-related waste and leaving the work area clean. Tools and Equipment Required: The person performing this task should have their own professional tools. The following is a list of essential tools for the job: Measuring Tape & Pencil Drop Saw or Circular Saw: For accurate cutting of the timber planks. Jigsaw: For cutting around obstacles like door frames. Flooring Installation Kit: This typically includes a tapping block, pull bar, and spacers. Nail Gun or Adhesive Trowel: Depending on the type of timber floor installation (nail-down or glue-down). Spirit Level: To ensure a level installation.
