I need a skilled handyman or carpenter to repair and replace the damaged and heavily cut-out base panel (bottom shelf) of a kitchen corner cupboard. As you can see in both pictures, the existing white particle board base has been roughly cut away to accommodate gas piping, a meter box, and utility connections. The current setup is structurally weak and unsightly. The goal is to install a clean, solid, and properly fitted replacement base/shelf that leaves neat, intentional access gaps for the utilities without compromising the storage surface. Scope of Work: Removal: Carefully remove the existing damaged/cut-out white carcass base board. Measurement & Fitting: Supply, cut, and install a matching white melamine/mdf furniture board to replace the base. Precision Cut-outs: Neatly cut out sections at the back and side to perfectly clear the gas pipes and the meter unit shown in the pics. The cuts need to be much tighter and cleaner than the current state. Support: Ensure the new base is securely supported and anchored to the carcass/legs so it can bear weight. Requirements: Must have your own tools (jigsaw, drill, circular saw, measuring tape, etc.). Experience with kitchen cabinetry or carpentry is essential. Please include the cost of the replacement white furniture board/shelf panel in your quote, or let me know if I need to source it beforehand. Important Notes: Please review the photos carefully to understand the tight angles and utility placement.

I have a custom built in wardrobe that we DIY’d. For the drawers I used IKEA PAX drawers that we altered to fit our dimensions but they’re not strong enough and have broken. I want someone to build me new ones that are more solid and will sit on fresh tracks to stop the jamming and splitting I’ve experienced. Some urgency as I currently don’t have functioning drawers. I value quality and experience - please don’t send me a generic message if your experience is only flat pack furniture etc.

I am looking to create a custom alcove built-in using IKEA Besta cabinet and doors. I need a Tasker with carpentry/handyman experience and their own power tools. The job involves: 1) Assembling the flat-pack units. 2) Securing them firmly into the alcove wall. 3) Cutting and fitting MDF filler strips to close the gaps between the units and the walls on either side and at the base to line up with skirting board. Please let me know if you also do caulking and painting, or if I should hire a decorator separately

I’m looking for someone to remove an existing fitted wardrobe and install a new IKEA PAX wardrobe setup across two adjacent walls. The existing black fitted wardrobe needs to be dismantled and removed, including the current sliding doors, base/plinth, trim and surrounding shell/frame. The current wardrobe includes large mirrored/sliding doors which are in good condition, so these can either be kept by the tradesperson if they'd like them or removed with the rest of the materials. A van will be needed for removal. The new wardrobe will be IKEA PAX units, already designed/planned, installed in an L-shape across two adjacent walls. This is not a full bespoke joinery build, as the wardrobe units themselves are IKEA PAX. However, I do need a proper fitted finish, not just basic flat-pack assembly. The job should include: * Dismantling and removing the existing fitted wardrobe, including old base/plinth, trim and shell * Assembling and installing the IKEA PAX units * Ensuring the units are level, aligned and securely fixed * Creating, adjusting or installing a suitable level base/plinth where needed * Fitting trim/filler/infill panels to cover visible gaps at the top, bottom and sides * Scribing/cutting filler panels neatly where needed so gaps are properly covered * Making the finished installation look neat, intentional and built-in, rather than like freestanding wardrobes placed against the wall There may be small gaps between the end of the IKEA units and the walls due to the standard PAX sizes. These gaps should be covered with suitable trim/filler panels wherever possible. If any gap is large enough to be made usable with a small access panel or custom door, that would be a bonus. Please only respond if you have experience with IKEA PAX installation and basic carpentry/fitted finishing, including plinth/base work, filler panels and trim. Photos of similar fitted PAX work would be helpful.
