I’m looking for an experienced furniture maker/upholsterer to design and build a bespoke L-shaped dining bench/banquette for my home. I have a compact dining area and want to replace my current dining seating with an upholstered corner bench similar to the inspiration photo attached. Approximate measurements: * Short side: 46 inches / 117 cm * Long side: 70 inches / 178 cm I need the seating made specifically to these measurements so it fits neatly into the corner next to my sofa. What I’m looking for: * L-shaped corner dining bench * Fully upholstered seat and back * Warm beige/cream fabric * Vertical fluted/channelled design similar to my inspiration photo * Modern, luxurious but cosy appearance * No bulky arms * Suitable for everyday family dining * Made to measure rather than an off-the-shelf bench I’m also open to advice on the best seat height and depth, as the space is relatively compact and I want to make sure there is still plenty of room around the dining table. I’m planning to pair it with a round wooden dining table and two upholstered dining chairs opposite the bench. I would ideally like someone who can: 1. Discuss the design with me before starting 2. Visit to measure the space if necessary 3. Supply suitable upholstery/fabric options 4. Build the bench to the exact measurements 5. Deliver and, ideally, install it I have attached photos of my actual dining area and an inspiration photo showing the style I’m looking for. Task Title: Reattach bi-fold kitchen cabinet door & repair mounting holes Task Description: Looking for a handyman/tasker to reattach a corner bi-fold kitchen cupboard door under the sink. Details: The door has come off its hinges. The screws have torn out of the cabinet carcass, leaving damaged/stripped holes in the particle board frame. You will likely need to fit a metal hinge repair plate or re-anchor the mounting points securely. The current bi-fold hinges may need replacing if damaged. Looking for an experienced carpenter/joiner to build fitted alcove units on both sides of our fireplace in our living room. We’d like: * Full-height fitted shelving in both alcoves * Approximately 3–4 open shelves on each side * Large closed cupboards at the bottom for maximum storage * Traditional/Shaker-style cupboard doors * Units built neatly into the alcoves so they look original to the room * Shelves and cupboards painted to match the existing woodwork/walls * Ideally concealed or neatly integrated fixings I’ve attached a photo of the room as it is now, plus a visual showing roughly the style and proportions we want. We’re happy for you to advise on the best materials and exact shelf/cupboard dimensions. We’d like the bottom cupboards to be as deep and spacious as practical. Please quote for labour, and let us know whether your quote includes materials, preparation and painting. We would like someone who has examples of previous fitted alcove/joinery work.

We’re looking for an experienced carpenter/joiner to help with 3 fitted storage projects in our Victorian flat: 1. Bedroom cupboard – PAX internals + new doors We have an existing built-in cupboard and would like to improve the storage using IKEA PAX carcasses/internals if suitable. The current sliding/overlapping doors are heavy and restrict access, so we’d like to replace these with more practical doors and would welcome advice on the best arrangement. 2. Bespoke boiler cupboard An alcove beside the chimney breast contains the boiler/pipework. We’d like to replace the existing cupboard/open shelving with a neat fitted cupboard with traditional painted Shaker-style doors. This will likely need to be bespoke and must retain suitable boiler access/clearances for servicing. We’d like it to stop below the existing Victorian cornicing rather than extend to the ceiling. 3. Hallway – fitted IKEA PAX We’d like PAX carcasses/internals with standard IKEA doors (or bespoke if advisable), neatly fitted so they feel integrated rather than freestanding. We haven’t ordered the PAX systems yet. We can provide approximate measurements and inspiration images. Ideally looking for someone experienced in fitted wardrobes/bespoke joinery and PAX adaptations. Please let us know if you’ve done similar work, can make bespoke Shaker doors, and have photos of previous projects. Budget is indicative as the spaces haven’t yet been measured and final scope needs agreeing. Happy to discuss pricing. IKEA components can be purchased separately by us. Thanks!

Hello! My name is Dave and I’m a business owner and an avid DIYer. I am currently building a recording studio and we are in the final stages of construction, doing most of the internal joinery, ventilation work and painting. Specifically, this job involves finishing the ventilation system in the studio and erecting custom built fitted furniture (basic carpentry skills required). Job location Is N19 4NF. It will be for 23/09 but could go on longer. Timings are flexible - just come in when you can for 8 hours. We will work through a daily to do list with each person doing their own set of tasks. Be aware that you will be on site with myself and one or two other people daily. Any questions do let me know.
