I have bought an electric awning that is 4 metres wide and 75kg in weight. It needs fitting above my patio doors at the rear of my house. The fitter will need at least 1 other person with them due to weight and size of the item, potentially 2 more. They will also need at least 2 sets of ladders tall enough to reach 2.5-2.75m up. The awning also needs to be wired to an existing cable for power. Attached are pics of where it is to be fitted, and the awning in its packaging. I am looking for an experienced handyman or blind/awning installer to help shade my west-facing flat balcony to protect from the summer heatwaves. Because I rent the property, the solution must be cause zero damage to the building facade. My balcony ceiling features exposed structural metal beams/joists, and the bottom is a standard metal railing. I would like a professional to come out, inspect the metal beams, verify the exact measurements needed, and help me decide on the best retractable product to buy (such as a beam-clamp vertical roller blind or a telescopic awning). Once the product arrives, I will have you back to carry out the installation. Requirements: - Must have experience with outdoor blinds, awnings, or balcony setups. - Must bring your own tools, measuring tapes, and appropriate ladders for overhead work. - Experience with temporary, damage-free clamping or tension mechanisms is a massive plus.
