Task Description: We’re seeking a skilled tiler or handyman to remove 6 floor tiles (300mm x 600mm) beneath a fixed laundry benchtop to create adequate clearance for a washer and dryer (standard height: 850mm). The goal is to achieve a flush fit and ensure future appliances (up to 600W x 850H x 625D mm) can be installed without further modification. Why This Is Needed: 1) The current clearance from the tiled floor to the underside of the stone benchtop is 840mm. 2) To accommodate new appliances, we require the removal of approximately. 1800mm x 600mm of floor tiles. 3) We may also need to cut and install 2 half tiles at the front edge for a clean finish. Scope of Work: 1) Carefully remove 6 tiles to avoid damaging adjacent tiles or benchtop 2) Check and level the subfloor post-removal for appliance stability 3) Waterproof exposed area if needed 4) Optional: install edge trim under benchtop lip for a neat finish 5) Cut and install 2 half tiles at the front edge if required 6) Ensure no visible gaps; washer and dryer must sit flush and secure 7) if needed, recommend or supply anti-vibration mats or underlay 8) Maintain airflow requirements for appliance ventilation 9) Dust protection during work and removal of debris Materials Provided: - Spare matching tiles in case of accidental breakage Photos Available: 1) Some photos of the current laundry setup will be provided to assist with planning. 2)Washer will remain in place; dryer will replace the wine fridge.
