Great bloke and a great job
Creating a verandah and restructuring the pillars
$9,999
Arundel QLD, Australia
20th Mar 2020
1. Need a builder to convert the slanting tiles roof over the garage into a wet area verandah with a metal grill all around the verandah which will need to resurface the roof top from slant to flat and make it wet proof and align roof water drainage to then collect the verandah water too and then connect it to drains in the ground The verandah is to enjoy the natural reserve scenery at level 1of the high set house 2. This needs to change the current sliding 220 cm window into a sliding door of the upstairs room in order to access this verandah from this room facing the natural reserve 3. To restructure a pillar supporting the front small extension of the upper bedroom meaning to cut the pillar from few sides so as to convert it from say 2.5m square pillar to a1.25 m square provides it does not disturb AT ALL the balance of the house as I am not sure if it is the support pillar or just a decorative pillar The whole aim is to enlarge the house front entrance by deceasing the existing pillar to half the circumference Pillar has bricks and rendered So same needs to be redone A previsit will be needed and a plan to be submitted to council for building changes approval I believe it is a support pillar but these pillars have about a long metal in centre and bricked in all sides with rendering Hence the main support is that long metal rod extending from upper bed room from extension to the ground But the thickness of the pillar may not matter the support whether it is 2.5 m square pillar or 1.25 m square pillar as I have been watching other houses being built around me with 1.25m pillars as good supports too Price is negotiable based on visit and what can be done ultimately considering house integrity and support pillar .
